Gourmet gift baskets, fine dining opportunities, sporting tickets and collectibles were among more than 130 items purchased by senior service professionals during a recent Silent Auction and Networking Breakfast benefiting the Grass Roots Organization for the Well-being of Seniors (GROWS). Surpassing the goal and raising $10,500 for the cause, the event was hosted by Brooke Grove retirement Village (BGRV) on the beautiful front lawn of Brooke Grove Foundation's corporate office.
GROWS is a nonprofit coalition of organizations and individuals dedicated to helping Montgomery County's seniors. Auction proceeds will benefit GROWS leadership, education and advocacy initiatives that positively impact frail and at-risk seniors as well as family caregivers and caring professionals.
The success of the event was the result of the partnership of GROWS and BGRV as well as the generosity of auction item donors. Those contributing items valued at $200 or more include Advanced Home Support, AlfredHouse Eldercare, BGRV, Flagship Rehabilitation, Graeves Auto and Tire, Lifematters, Morgan-Keller Construction, RCM&D, Remedi SeniorCare, Right at Home, The Beacon Newspapers, The Law Office of Melissa A. Wu, and Zusy Marketing. For a complete list of donors, click on the link provided below.
